In-Line Case Maker
In an in-line case maker, the various corrugated box-making machinery components are seamlessly integrated into one machine to provide a complete solution. This way, the entire process of corrugated box making – from printing to cutting and die-cutting – can be done within a single machine.
The in-line case maker has the advantage of making corrugated boxes more efficiently and quickly than other methods. With this machine, there is very little downtime in between processes, and fewer hands are required to move boxes between machines. This means that the production rate is faster, and the cost per box is lower, making it an ideal solution for high-volume manufacturing.

Forming section
Use servo system to parallel the jumbo size paperboards to walk forward straightly. At the same time precreasing and creasing system will further precrease and crease for nice folding. Electrical fans to blow away and clear off the slotted and die cut scraps for smooth gluing and folding. This section can well match the working speed before paperboards enter the folding beams.
In the world of packaging, corrugated boxes are the go-to option when it comes to shipping goods. They are sturdy, durable, and can be easily customized to the specific needs of the product being shipped. However, the process of manufacturing these boxes is far more complex than one would imagine. It requires specialized machinery, such as a two-color printer, slotter, and die-cutter, which are all combined in an in-line case maker.
Let's delve deeper to understand the nuances of corrugated box-making and the role that these machines play in the process.
What is a Corrugated Box?
First, we need to understand what corrugated boxes are and why they are so important. Corrugated boxes are made up of a combination of three layers of paper – an outer liner, an inner liner, and a fluted paper medium that sits in between the two liners. The flutes provide the box with cushioning and support, making it strong enough to protect the product inside from damage during transport.
The manufacturing process of corrugated boxes is quite intricate. It involves two main steps: corrugating the medium and gluing the liners to the corrugated medium. Once that is done, the box is then cut and folded into the required size and shape.
However, the process is not as simple as it sounds. It demands precision and skill at every step. That's why specially engineered machinery is needed to make the process efficient and ensure that the quality standards of the boxes are maintained.
Understanding the Corrugated Box-Making Machinery
There are several types of machinery necessary for making corrugated boxes, but in this article, we will focus on the following three: the two-color printer, the slotter, and the die-cutter. Additionally, we will discuss how these machines are integrated into an in-line case maker.
